John 3:16 Everyone's heard the verse but are they listening to what it says. What does John 3:16 mean to me? What does a sunset look like to you? A glow of orange and red blaze across the sky surrounding a fiery sphere. I see the silverish, blue waves of the ocean gently resting the sun in its embrace. Do you hear the rushing of the waves, the sound of gulls calling, and feel the gentle breeze against my face. It is such a powerful sight with such a serene feel. You're probably thinking it has nothing to do with John 3:16 But it has a similar thought process w/ it. While the word "sunset" evokes a powerful picture in my mind John 3:16 represents the ultimate scene of sacrifice showing God's love for us. The one difference is that in the deepest depths of my imagination, I could never fully picture or comprehend God's love for us. But He showed us when He sent Christ to atone for our sins. Well I have. I fall in love when I see the work of God. Who doesn't? Haven't you seen the Grand Canyon? The Northern Lights? The mid-summer nights? How can you deny? Just to think how he created all this beauty to share with us. It says in the Bible...
