hope, despair, joy and pain
summer, winter, sun and rain
Sometimes I stare to gather my thought
sometimes I cry my heart in distraught
Looking for that light in the darkness of night
looking for security in His might
Lord comfort my heart! I wallow in despair
send me an angel my heart she'll take care
My path is rugged behind me so rough
in front, no better life gets so tough
The Lord said, " open thine eyes and see my angel come"
walk hand in hand down the path, together as one
As she and I step in union we go
wet petals of roses and lush trees I see grow
Along the path and as far as I look
what used to be dust and sand now lies a brook
The smell of crisp air the birds dance in the sky
the path full of grass and the squirrels running by
I let go of her hand and walk off my path
I want to bask in the sun and make my steps their last
I close my eyes and to my dismay
the sun is gone the birds flew away
The roses and trees all withered and dry
gathering of dust where the brook lie
No sign of squirrels running, the air is so stale
the path is so torn the direction unstable
But the Angel still there on that old beaten path
holds out her hand in one lasting gasp . . .

To that special person that's out so far
Can you share your presence and reveal your fears
You are the one who provides such a grace
Are you the one whom I guard with my life
So much care you give to me
How do you see me in the ocean of hearts
Oh Lord, you are so good to me
Is she the one whom I should embrace
I will take refuge in the shadow of Your wing
I will take care of her in Your fortress and power
There is none that will trouble her gentle heart
Special one, you are so precious to me
That we may watch the sun go down
Let the sea gulls fly and the dolphins leap
Till that day we meet... please keep your heart open for me.
Are you reality or just a distant star
Can we share the times of laughter and tears
I bask in your beauty with joy on my face
Are we ready to trust each other in times of strife
Giving such concern so effortlessly
How do we continue where love truly starts
I cannot describe even through poetry
Are we ready for the trials we must face
When disaster comes our way and troubles they bring
I will watch over her from danger in Your high tower
For Your Spirit will guide her to Your will to start
Let me lead you to the calmest sea
Hand in hand without a sound
Let me hold you closer, in my arms you'll sleep

Waiting For A Star To Fall
I hear your name whispered on the wind
I hear a song blow again and again
I wish I didn't feel so strong about you
Trying to catch your heart
I've learned to feel what I cannot see
Trying to catch your heart
Waiting for a star to fall
Waiting (however long...)
Waiting for a star to fall
performed by Boy Meets Girl
written by: George Merril/Sharon Rubican
It's a sound . . . that makes me cry
Through my mind and I don't know why
Like happiness and love revolve around you
Is like trying to catch a star
So many people love you baby
That must be what you are
Waiting for a star to fall
And carry your heart into my arms
That's where you belong
In my arms baby, yeah
But with you I lose that vision
I don't know how to dream your dream
So I'm all caught up in superstition
I want to reach out and pull you to me
Who says I should let a wild one go free
Is like trying to catch a star
But I can't love you this much baby
And love you from this far
And carry your heart into my arms
That's where you belong
In my arms baby, yeah
I don't like waiting (I'll wait for you...)
It's so hard waiting (don't be too long...)
Seems like waiting (makes me love you even more...)
And carry your heart into my arms
That's where you belong
In my arms baby, yeah
